Hello, Reader.

November is upon us! No matter how you feel about yesterday's election results, God is still on His throne, and that is something we can all be thankful for!

And, speaking of feeling grateful, I plan to send a newsletter completely devoted to that topic in a week or two, but there are lots of other opportunities for celebration this month before Thanksgiving. And highlighting a few of those other holidays and memorials is the purpose of this week's link list.

Free resources for you this week:

What I'm reading this week:

I read Evy & Nola Halberstadt's Double Delights from cover to cover this week. It is one of the sweetest cookbooks I've ever seen. I've had the privilege of sampling many of the recipes included in this book over the years and can attest to how great they taste!

However, I gave up eating refined sugar after a cancer diagnosis two years ago and just bought this book as a way to support our precious young friends. I didn't expect it to include anything I can actually eat now.

Yet I was pleasantly surprised by the number of savory and sugar-free recipes in the book, including one for a mouthwatering quiche, which is what I'll be baking first!

On the podcast this week:

Loving Life at Home: Episode 120

MORE HOMESCHOOLING Q&A

In this episode, we tackle questions about kids (and parents) involved in home education who have bad attitudes, feel socially awkward, or feel ready to throw in the towel and quit homeschooling for good.

Progress on last week's goals:

I accomplished almost everything on last week's to-do list: I βœ… edited/posted a new podcast episode (see above), βœ… filmed some B-role footage for my friend's new devotional book, βœ… helped hostess a baby shower for another friend, βœ… recorded 5 more years of Christmas letters for our kids (trying to finish all of them before Thanksgiving), βœ… organized more of my boys' bathroom cabinets, βœ… worked the polls on election day, and βœ… started (but ❌ didn't finish) buying family stocking stuffers.

Personal goals for this week:

By the way, if you plan to do any holiday shopping online and have not already signed up for a FREE Rakuten account, do it right now while you are thinking about it! Then shop as normal at any store listed on the Rakuten site to earn cash back on every qualifying purchase.

If you enjoy this newsletter and would like to support my work, there are six ways for you to do that:

  1. Say a prayer for me & my family πŸ™
  2. Invite a friend to subscribe to this newsletter πŸ“
  3. Subscribe to my podcast on your favorite platform 🎧
  4. Follow me on Instagram πŸ“Έ
  5. Buy & review one of my books πŸ“š
  6. Sign up for Rakuten πŸ’° (we'll both earn $50 cash as soon as you qualify)

Thanks so much for all your help! I'll be back next week with more links, reviews, and resources. If you have any special requests, hit reply and let me know. 😊
