FF #36: ⌛️ Resources for Making the Most of Life's Changing Seasons

Hello, Friend.

This week, I'm writing from Missouri, where I'm currently vacationing with my husband and three youngest children:

After decades of traveling with ten, eleven, twelve kids in tow, taking a trip with such a small group seems strange. Suddenly, it dawns on me we haven't many years left before these last three birdies fly the nest like their older siblings before them. And I don't want to squander a second of the time I have left with them still at home.

Are you facing a season of transition, too? Do you resist change as much as I do? Then this week's link list is for you. It's full of resources and reminders to help you make the most of whatever stage of life you currently find yourself in.

Free resources for you this week:

What I'm reading this week:

I just finished reading 15 Anti-Aging Skincare Recipes from the Garden this morning. This book is included in the Mastering Menopause Bundle that launched this week (on sale for a few more days).

Between all the digital resources in this bundle and the huge bag of books I brought home from the thrift store yesterday, I won't run out of reading material before my vacation ends!

What we're eating this week:

Since our vacation rental has a full kitchen, I brought a week's worth of freezer meals with us, including a new recipe (for us) called Vegetarian Taco Quinoa Chili. It was quick, easy, delicious, and very filling. Yum!

Progress on last week's goals:

We successfully ✅completed 7 puzzles in 7 days, ✅weeded the flowerbeds, and ✅restocked our freezer with crockpot meals x 12.

Goals for next week:

I'm still working on last week's goal of making sweet family memories with our kids before school starts back up. Additionally, I hope to:

  • clear out my inbox
  • write welcome letters to the 16 new families joining our co-op this year
  • celebrate my 34th wedding anniversary with my husband

That's all I have for you this week. If you're adjusting to changes in your family dynamics or routines or starting a new season in life, hit reply and tell me about it. I'd love to pray for you in the midst of those transitions.
