Welcome to the 41st issue of Flanders Family Freebies, a weekly themed list of resources designed by me, Jennifer Flanders, in hopes of helping you build a strong, happy, healthy home. Thank you for giving me a place in your inbox – I deeply appreciate it!

Yes, I realize this week's newsletter is super late. I'd intended to send an organization-themed link list on Wednesday. But my current organization projects are still unfinished, so that never happened.

Instead, lots of unexpected opportunities to connect, volunteer, and fellowship arose this week, so I forsook my original plans in favor of encouraging and being encouraged while tending to more eternal matters.

It was a lovely week in so many ways... and to pay a bit of that loveliness forward, I'm sending a bunch of encouraging links to you, as well. Enjoy!

Free resources for you this week:

What I'm reading this week:

Yesterday I finished 365 Days of Wonder. It's a book full of proverbs and precepts on the topics of courage, friendship, love, and kindness. A spinoff from R.J. Palacio's best selling book Wonder (which I recommend you tackle first), 365 Days is a quick read and one I thoroughly enjoyed.

What we're watching this week:

Grandkids! David's wife is visiting from Hawaii with their two little girls. We don't get to see any of them nearly as often as we'd like, but they're looking for a house in the area, so that situation may soon change! I'm sending up lots of prayers they find one they can't resist. 😊

Progress on last week's goals:

I βœ… finished all my transplanting projects (with some help from my son Gabriel), βœ… made a big dent in my mending, and βœ… cleared all but a small stack of papers off my desk. Woohoo! I can see some light at the end of the tunnel!

Goals for this week:

  • deal with that last stack of papers
  • mulch our garden beds (primarily so I don't have to keep looking at the bags stacked by the fence)
  • write 7 letters
  • finish reading 1 book
  • taxi kids to several extra activities this week
  • prepare for a craft class I'm teaching on Friday

That's it for me this week. What's going on in your world right now?
