Today (March 18) is National "Forgive Mom and Dad Day"--did you know that? While my husband and I are grateful to have a healthy relationship with both our parents and our children, such intergenerational love and mutual respect is becoming increasingly uncommon these days. I know of multiple families where parents and their adult children have not been on speaking terms for years. This makes me so sad, and I suspect it grieves the heart of God, as well. Certainly if it were their decision to follow Christ that put parents at odds with their children -- or vice versa -- then they must continue to stand strong in the faith. But if petty differences drove them apart? Then a heaping dose the kind of full, free forgiveness God offers us is in order--which is exactly what this week's link list is all about. Free resources for you this week:
What I'm reading this week:What we're eating this week:One of my daughters-in-law brought this green chicken enchilada soup to our green cuisine dinner yesterday, and it was delish! So creamy and good with the perfect amount of spice! On the podcast this week:I missed dropping a new episode, but here's another from the archives for you this week: Progress on last week's goals:I made satisfactory progress on last week's to-do list, including โ getting my desk (mostly) cleared off, โ grading (nearly all) my students' math homework, โ visiting our son's family who was here over the weekend, โ hosting our family's annual Leprechaun Lunch, โ answering all but 50 emails in my inbox, โ attending a grandson's birthday party, โ completing four more pages in my Easter journal, and โ welcoming grandbaby #25 (who arrived promptly on her due date at 10 lbs 12 oz!). The only thing I didn't get done was to โ refine or record any of my workshop modules (although I did โ finish editing my friend's new book). Personal goals for this week:
